Lygature: CTMM + TI Pharma. Together.

CTMM and TI Pharma, the two largest public-private top institutes in the Dutch top sector Life Sciences & Health, have joined forces and will continue as Lygature as of January 1, 2016.

The start of the new year marks an important milestone: on January 1st, Lygature formally came into existence as a result of the merger of CTMM and TI Pharma. Impressive joint track records in medical innovation mean that the merged organization is well equipped to achieve both improved healthcare results and wider economic benefits.

Since the merger was announced early 2014, many preparations have taken place to ensure that the combined organization is best prepared for a healthy future that builds upon the legacy of CTMM and TI Pharma. The introduction of a new name and brand design has been part of this process.

The new name was revealed earlier 2015, at the CTMM + TI Pharma Launch Meeting in Utrecht, The Netherlands, when the new organization explained its plans and ambition for a joint future. Lygature takes its name from the ligatures used to bring components together, in typography, music, and medicine.
