22-23 September 2015 - XNAT community meeting organised by the BBMRI-NL2.0 consortium at Erasmus MC

BBMRI-NL.2.0 is building a research infrastructure for biobanking activities in the Netherlands. BBMRI-NL2.0 is a merge of three research infrastructures in the life sciences (BBMRI-NL1.0, CTMM-TraIT and EPI2). In the BBMRI-NL2.0 project (

XNAT is being offered and used for archiving medical images. The image processing and ICT workpackages (WP3 and WP5 resp.) collaborate on setting up, maintaining and developing XNAT and image analysis software which interact with XNAT. In parallel to BBMRI-NL2.0 activities, several institutions have already built their own XNAT solution. A number of solutions which are built within the BBMRI-NL2.0 is actually commonly applicable and could be of use to others outside this collaboration. To share knowledge about XNAT a community has to be build.

This meeting is aimed at providing a platform for such a community. The format will be getting hands on with solving problems, and also for sharing thoughts on the future directions and vision as well. So the aimed audience is very broad, from scientific programmers to work package leaders and everything in between who are implementing XNAT in their projects.
